COAS Rising Sophomores & Transfer Students

Admissions Information

Applications

Continuing students (rising sophomores) currently in a major program in the College of Arts and Sciences and transfer students who have earned less than 59 credits and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.8 at the end of their freshman Spring semester will be invited to apply to the Honors Program before their second Fall semester. Invitation letters with application submission links are sent via email in May.

For the most popular majors (Biology and Political Science), your application is reviewed and acceptance decisions are made by a selection committee formed by the respective department's faculty. General applications for all other COAS majors will be reviewed by the Honors Program review committee.

Please note that this is a competitive application process, as there is a limited number of students who may be accepted into the program each Fall semester. Also, this invitation is not to be viewed as an acceptance into the Honors Program and submission of a completed application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
