Incoming Freshmen
Admission Information
In light of the University's policy to render SAT/ACT test scores optional for admission for the Class of 2025, it is appropriate that the Honors Program follow suit.
Applications
High school seniors with at least a 3.8 unweighted GPA who have been admitted to the College of Arts and Sciences as freshmen will be invited to apply to the Honors Program to enter in their first Fall semester. Invitation letters with application submission links are sent via email in May.
For the most popular majors (Biology and Political Science), your application is reviewed and acceptance decisions are made by a selection committee formed by the respective department's faculty. General applications for all other COAS majors will be reviewed by the Honors Program review committee.
Please note that this is a competitive application process, as there is a limited number of students who may be accepted into the program each Fall semester. Also, this invitation is not to be viewed as an acceptance into the Honors Program and submission of a completed application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
